Case Study Preview For Automotive Parts Manufacturer

Who doesn't like a sneak peek into success?

We are in the process of publishing a full case study based our efforts at an automotive manufacturer. In advance of its publishing, I wanted to share with you some of the results.

While the results are dramatic in terms of the operational and financial improvements MTG helped deliver, our client was by no means a poorly managed factory. Our hands on approach helped them to upgrade their good operations to great operations. We helped them create a permanently better factory floor, reducing inventory, helping with production planning and driving a continuous improvement culture.

We are working on publishing a full case study. In the mean time, below are some of the production improvements and outcomes that we helped their production team realize.

Initiative Result
Scrap Rate for Die Casting 29% Improvement
First Pass Yield Improved from 85% to 94%
Final Inspection Pass Rate 95% to 98%
Scrap Rate for Aviation Line Improved from 4.9% 0.9%
Production Efficiency Improvement for Aviation Line Improved by 49.6%
Consumable Consumption (cutting tools) Reduced by 66.7%
Inventory Reduction Reduced by 19.1% across raw material, WIP and finished good (make to stock)
On Time Delivery 25% to 60%

Keep and eye out in the near future for the full case study.
